Piedmont Drift “Hide Yo Wife, Hide Yo Kids!”

If you’re from anywhere within or around North Carolina, Piedmont Dragway is a place you should be visiting once every month for what are some of the most fun and chill drift events around.

Piedmont Drift takes place at Piedmont Dragway in Julian, NC. It’s the perfect place for those trying their hand at drifting for the first time, for experienced drivers wanting to hone their tandem skills or for those wanting to just roast tires in matsuri style drift trains.

The track, with its narrow side roads that open into a large lot with elevation changes, is great for learning how to maintain speed and how to really use a car’s momentum. When driven right, those with an NA 13B can link the course all day and those with 2J’s and LS’s can go full throttle without feeling restricted.

I honestly think this is one of the best places in the region for new drivers to start or for experienced drivers to practice.

Factor in the chill, drama free environment provided by the organizer, Ryan Deavers, and the group of long time drifters that help keep things running smoothly, and you’ve got an awesome grassroots venue that’s been helping grow the sport of drifting for over a decade.
